A donation that keeps growing

The Bristlecone Foundation Legacy Forest campaign started in 2010 to help support the home care and hospice patients of Bristlecone Health Services and to renew the forests of Summit County and the beauty of our mountains.

To date over 4,000 seedlings have been planted in Summit County through the Bristlecone Foundation Legacy Forest Campaign. Each seedling telling a story of love and compassion for those they were planted for.

On Saturday, June 2, 2012 an additional 1,600 seedlings will be planted in five communities throughout Summit County. Donations to the Legacy Forest campaign will ensure that patients and their families receive quality home and hospice care, regardless of their ability to pay for services.

A donation of $20 will plant a seedling. You can designate where you would like your seedling(s) planted and watch your donation grow. Download an order form to purchase a seedling or call 970.668.8444 to order by phone.

Planting areas include:  Breckenridge, Dillon, Frisco, Keystone and Silverthorne. Seedlings to be planted include:  Bristlecone Pine, Colorado Blue Spruce, Ponderosa Pine, Engelmann Spruce, Aspen, Limber Pine  and Wax Currant.  See a slideshow of Legacy Forest photos below, or click here to view them on Flickr.

To volunteer at one of the planting sites please email Åsa Armstrong at asaarmstrong@centura.org or call 970.668.8444.
